NETWORK LIFETIME ENHANCEMENT BY CO-OPERATIVE ROUTING IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS
Abstracts
In this paper, we have proposed an energy efficient cooperative communication routing protocol (EECCRP). This Protocol considered three parameters- energy, distance and node density. Every node of this network is initially charged 0.3 joule of energy. This protocol can perform better with 0.3 joule as compared with EEE-LEACH protocol that have 0.5 joule of energy of every node because energy efficient clustering is being adopted in this. It adds scalability to the network as other topologies are not favored for large area network. It avoids the Hot-Spot problem, i.e. the nodes nearer to the base station are in critical stage of getting dead earlier than other nodes because closest nodes relay more packets than other nodes. Load of each cluster is divided among MH (Master Head) and CMH (Cooperative Master Head). Cluster Head performs intra-cluster communication and Master Head performs inter-cluster communication.
