A HIGHLY EFFICIENT GREEN SYNTHESIS OF 1H-PYRAZOLO[1,2-B]PHTHALAZINE-5,10-DIONES CATALYZED BY .....

Boehmite nanoparticles (BNPs) were used as a green catalyst in a solvent-free one-pot three-component cyclocondensation reaction to produce 1H-pyrazolo[1,2-b]phthalazine-5,10-diones from phthalhydrazide, malononitrile, and aldehydes. This method should provide good yields, a quicker reaction time, simple set-up, non-chromatographic product purification, and a cleaner reaction. It is a novel approach to N-fused heterocyclic synthesis that has broader applications in chemical and medicinal science.
