A STUDY ON THE COOPERATION EFFECT OF MICROWAVE AND CATALYSTS FOR HETEROGENEOUS CATALYSIS REACTIONS..
Over a range of supported catalysts, microwave-assisted heterogeneous catalysis processes were explored. We discovered that the microwave was not always friendly to the catalysts by comparing their activity to results obtained using a traditional heating technique. Despite the fact that they could all absorb microwaves efficiently, the catalyst's catalytic activity was sometimes impeded by the microwave. It demonstrates that the microwave has a non-thermal effect in addition to the thermal effect, causing the microwave to'selectively' accelerate a specific catalyst to catalyse a chemical.
