Althaea officianali EFFICIENCY IN WASTEWATER TURBIDITY REMOVAL | Journal of Global Ecology and ....

On waste water turbidity removal, the effectiveness of employing Althaea officianali as a new natural coagulant aid in combination with Alum and PAC as coagulants was examined. The research was done in a lab with wastewater. Turbidity was observed to be reduced when the pH was between 7 and 7.5. The turbidity removal effectiveness was 90.1 percent while utilising 20 and 40 mg/L of Alum and Althaea officianali, respectively, as the optimal condition. It was also discovered that at 30 mg/L of PAC and Althaea officianali, the best turbidity removal of 93.27 percent was attained. The findings of this study's turbidity removal values demonstrated that using Althaea officianali as a coagulant aid is both suitable and cost effective.
