The word "unpaired electron number" is one of the most essential terms in chemistry. The determination of the unpaired electron number is crucial in a variety of problems, such as determining the magnetic moment (in B.M. ), determining the spin multiplicity value, and so on. However, determining the unpaired electron number using MOT or by drawing molecular orbitals takes time. So, in this text, I've attempted to depict a simple and speedy method for calculating the unpaired electron number using applied mathematics and some basic chemical ideas, which can be useful for any competitive exam and will allow all students to save time. The student does not need to know the MOT to apply this new strategy. This approach can be used to calculate the total electron number of diatomic molecules and ions (01-20).
