ANALYSIS, ADAPTATION AND IMPLEMENTATION INTO THE LEGAL FRAMEWORK OF NIGERIA OF LEGAL AND ECONOMIC ME

In Nigeria, one of the most pressing issues is environmental protection, which necessitates the implementation of ecologically friendly initiatives in order to achieve the country's development goals. The degradation of the environment has posed a constant threat to Nigeria's well-being, agriculture, and economic prosperity. The essential structure for managing diverse environmental concerns in today's world is through relevant and suitable national laws and regulations. Environmental policies and implementation structures in Nigeria, on the other hand, have failed to produce the desired favourable effect, both economically and environmentally. The Nigerian Federation has institutions to preserve the environment, but despite enacting environmental legislation meant at alleviating the situation, Nigeria's situation appears to be deteriorating since the legislation's enforcement is insufficient or compromised. Much improvement is expected in terms of capacity building, population control, and economic development strategies for dealing with environmental contamination and control challenges. This study looks at Nigeria's environmental legislation and its shortcomings in terms of contamination and degradation issues in the federation, as well as ideas for successful environmental management and adaptation in the federation.
