ASYMMETRIC TWO-DIMENSIONAL SOLITON-LIKE BEHAVIOR FOR A BOSE-EINSTEIN CONDENSATE IN A HARMONIC TRAP |

This research used the two-dimensional nonlinear Schrodinger equation to investigate asymmetric soliton-like behaviour in a two-dimensional Bose-Einstein condensate trapped in an external harmonic potential. We calculated the dynamic development behaviour of a soliton-like breathing mode with asymmetric features using the modified variational technique. Our theoretical findings can be utilised to guide future experimental investigations into asymmetric soliton-like behaviour in a two-dimensional Bose-Einstein condensate.
