BIOMASS AND PHOSPHORUS CONTENT IN CRAMBE SHOOTS WITH PHOSPHATE FERTILIZES | Journal of Global......

Crambe (Crambe abssynica Hoechst) is a high-oil-content winter oilseed crop that can be used as a raw material for biodiesel synthesis. Experiments on the influence of P fertilisers on Crambe growth and uptake were done in the Western Paraná State, Brazil, from July to August in 2011 and 2012. The soil was obtained at Cascavel, Paraná, Brazil, and was classified as dystrophic Oxisol Udic. At a probability of 5%, the findings were subjected to an ANOVA and SNK test. The green house experiment had six replications and was set up as a completely randomised design with four treatments (control, 75 kg P205 as NP = natural phosphate, 75 kg P205 as SS = simple superphosphate, and a mixture of 37.5 kg P205 - NP and 37.5 P205 of SS). The use of P fertilisers resulted in the highest chlorophyll content, plant height, and phosphorus content in crambe leaves, according to the experimental data. In 2011, NP application improved plant height by 45 percent, and by 66 percent in 2012.
