CHEMICAL PRECIPITATION OF IRON SPECIES FROM DILUTED FERRIC AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS | Journal of .....

Under regulated pH, temperature, and iron concentration, the precipitation of iron oxides from aqueous solutions containing diluted ferric species was investigated. The experimental results demonstrate that ferric hydroxide is present at pH values ranging from 0.6 to 13, while aqueous univalent ferrous hydroxide is present at pH values ranging from 7 to 9.3, and ferrous hydroxide is present at pH values ranging from 4.15 to 13.

The chemical precipitation of iron species alters several of the experimental media's physicochemical features; it's inferred that ionic strength influences zeta potential values, liquid media electrical conductivity, pH, and surface tension.
