The goal of this study was to see how successful proportional representation of women in Zimbabwe's parliament is. According to the literature, encouraging women to participate in politics is not a new concept. Evaluation of their active engagement appears to be something fresh. In light of this, the purpose of this study was to assess the efficiency of proportional representation of women in Zimbabwe's parliament using active lawmakers from the two main political parties (the Zimbabwe African National Union Patriotic Front [ZANU PF] and the Movement of Democratic Change [MDC]). The researchers utilised a qualitative research approach that relied heavily on focus group talks. The 10 research participants were drawn from active political office holders in the ZANU PF and MDC who were pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree.
