FIA - ATOMIC ABSORPTION SPECTROMETRIC DETERMINATION OF DICHROMATE ION WITH CROWN ETHERS | Journal..

The possibility of directly connecting flame atomic absorption spectrometry with extractions/FIA as a complete flow system was examined. This system was used in the extraction and determination of dichromate ion using different crown ethers (15C5, 18C6, DB18C6, DCH18C6, and DB24C8) and various organic solvents (i.e., 1, 2-dichloroethane, chloroform, toluene, 50 percent toluene +50 percent nitrobenzene, and nitrobenzene) at an injection rate of 37.5 samples/hr and injection volume 80 The effect of various cationic and anionic interferences that may be present in natural samples was investigated. The approach has good precision and can be used to extract and determine Cr (VI) in natural samples.
