GREENHOUSE CUCUMBER PRODUCTION AND MARKETING IN TURKEY | Journal of Global Agriculture and Ecology
In Turkey, greenhouse cucumber growing is essential from the perspective of both the farmer and the entrepreneur. The goal of this research is to look into recent trends in Turkey's greenhouse cucumber production and marketing. Data from the years 2006 to 2015 were examined for this purpose. Data was gathered from the Turkish Statistical Institute, the Turkish Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Livestock, and the General Secretariat of the Mediterranean Exporter Associations. In addition, past research findings were incorporated. Turkey produced 889,075 tonnes of grenhouse cucumber in 2015. Turkey's greenhouse cucumber production fluctuated from 2006 to 2015. Turkey exported 70.747 tonnes of cucumbers to various countries around the world in 2015, with a total cucumber export value of 47.89 million dollars. Before constructing a greenhouse, growers should obtain all economic data on greenhouse cucumber production as well as market conditions.
