In vitro SEED GERMINATION AND PROPAGATION OF KAGDI LEMON (Citrus limon L.) | Journal of Global Agri

In vitro propagation has the potential to aid in the fast growth of lemons. Plants created using in vitro propagation are disease-free and true to type. The current research aimed to standardise explant surface sterilisation, determine the best explant type for culture establishment, identify growth regulators for shoot multiplication and roots, and assess the hardening process. Surface disinfection with varied doses of HgCl2 and NaOCl Explants were employed, including seeds, embryos, and nodes. Complete embryos produced the greatest outcomes and were shown to be suitable explants for the development of lemon cultures. 12 MS media exhibited the earliest and most seeds germination among the varied concentrations of MS medium. The largest number of plant growth regulators was found in all combinations.
