The weight loss method was used to investigate potassium chromate as a mild steel corrosion inhibitor in cassava fluid extract. Potassium chromate reduced mild steel corrosion in cassava fluid extract at different concentrations and temperatures (25°C and 60°C), according to the research. The study discovered that inhibitor efficiency rises with increasing concentrations and varies with temperature. The study found that mild steel corrosion is caused by hydrogen cyanide in cassava fluid extract, and that potassium chromate is an excellent mild steel corrosion inhibitor in cassava fluid extract.
