INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS THEORIES IN CONTEMPORARY GLOBAL POLITICS: IN SEARCH OF AN ACCEPTABLE ANALYTI

There are chapters dedicated to some theoretical traditions of international relations in many contemporary International Relations textbooks; these theories have their roots not in international politics intrinsically, but in ancient international historical writings, mediaeval international lawyers, and some classical political scientists. And, whether we realise it or not, we always look at world politics through a certain set of glasses. These lenses can be thought of as theories. However, there are other hypotheses contending to explain the same occurrences in current world politics. This has posed a significant challenge to international relations research. This research aims to investigate why, in contrast to political theories that drive the study of political science, international relations theories have always relied on other sub disciplines. When the academic field of international relations began, in order to fully describe occurrences in the international system This investigation was able to discover that a generalised international relation theory based on historical, philosophical, or behavioural techniques is difficult to develop using content methodology and a descriptive research framework of analysis. Based on the above, the paper suggests that thinking theoretically about events and trends in international relations requires various realities based on human experiences and viewpoints, rather than a single reality. Because governments' interests are pliable and always changing, diverse theoretical frameworks can help us perceive international relations from various perspectives.
