MULTIVARIATE ANALYSIS OF THE VEGETATION COMPOSITION AND COMMUNITY STRUCTURE OF KOKARAI VALLEY......
The research was carried out in 2019-20 to look into the vegetation structure of the Kokarai valley in Swat area. A total of 155 vascular plant species from 74 families were discovered. Asteraceae (16) was the most common family, followed by Rosaceae (13) and Lamiaceae (12). (12). Therophytes dominated the life form with 61 species, whereas microphyll dominated the leaf spectra with 73 species. The vegetation of 15 stands was divided into five plant communities using a two-way indicator species analysis: (1) Viburnum, Fragaria, Galium community (2) Quercus, Quercus, Nepeta community (3) Indigofera, Fragaria, Pinus community (4) Olea, Quercus, Melia community (5) Bromus, Dedonaea, Micromeria community The total variation in the species data was 4.12, with 87.1 percent explanatory variables, according to the canonical correspondence analysis. According to the CCA ordination, some of the species were more susceptible to environmental variables than others. This research would be beneficial and offer baseline information on the ecological and conservation status of vulnerable species in their respective stands and nearby stands with similar environments.
