PHYTOCHEMICAL PROFILE OF Crinum defixum KER-GAWLER MEDICINAL PLANT LEAVES | Journal of Applied.....

The goal of this work was to isolate and characterise total phytocomponents found in the therapeutic leaves of Crinum defixum Ker-Gawler, which is an important medicinal plant. The growing popularity of natural plant medicines around the world has produced a huge demand for medicinal plants. C. defixum Ker-Gawler has been shown to exhibit a variety of pharmacological characteristics. Starting with n-Hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, acetone, ethanol, butanol, and methanol, the plant was extracted with several solvents in increasing order of polarity. Thus, the current work used FT-IR, GC-MS, NMR, and mass spectral approaches to evaluate the preliminary phytochemical screening, isolation, and characterisation of total phytocomponents contained in C. defixum Ker-Gawler leaves, as well as their biological activities.
