POLYSYSTEM ECOLOGICAL SPACE AND STABILITY OF ALPINE MEADOWS (CENTRAL CAUCASUS) | Journal of Global

On the basis of modelling the inter-component and inter-complex landscape linkages, the regularities of mono- and poly-system organisation of high mountain meadow topoecosystems (with "Zhilasu" pasture in the Elbrus region as an example) are presented. The modelling strategy is explained using methods from information theory and fuzzy set theory. The structural features of high mountain meadow ecological niches were provided for a comparative assessment of their function and stability in relation to various representation metrics of altitudinal-zonal ecological space.
