PORTER MODEL ANALYSIS OF COMPETITIVENESS: KAYSERI PROVINCE MANUFACTURING MEASUREMENT AND STRUCTURAL

The primary requirement for a country's economic progress is specialisation in the creation of comparably superior goods and services. Michael Porter created the "Diamond Model" for countries' competitive advantages in the early 1990s. According to Porter, governments should specialise in competitive superior industries and build cluster policies to support this. The goal of our research is to use the diamond model to calculate the competitive advantage of the industrial sector in Kayseri province. As a consequence, according to the Porter model, the manufacturing sector in Kayseri enjoys a competitive advantage. Clustering initiatives in this regard will help Kayseri and Turkey thrive economically.
