SOLUBILITY OF TETRAHYDROPYRIMIDINE DERIVATIVES IN SOME SOLVENTS AT DIFFERENT TEMPERATURES ......

The solubility of certain tetrahydropyrimidine derivatives in methanol, ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, and tetrahydrofuran was investigated at various temperatures (293.15 to 313.15 K) at atmospheric pressure. Solubility increases with temperature for all compounds and was found to be higher in THF than other selected alcoholic solvents. Furthermore, various thermodynamic parameters such as enthalpy, Gibb's free energy, and dissolving entropy have been calculated using solubility data. Enthalpy and Gibb's free energy values are positive for all compounds, although entropy values are negative for some.
