STUDIES ON ION-SOLVENT INTERACTIONS IN AQUEOUS AMINO ACID SOLUTION BY ULTRASONIC INTERFEROMETER AT..

To examine ion-solvent interactions, ultrasonic velocity (u), density (), and viscosity () of amino acids in aqueous media were measured at 303.15, 308.15, and 313.15K. Acoustic parameters such as adiabatic compressibility (a), acoustic impedance (z), intermolecular free length (Lf), and relative association (RA) have been estimated from experimental data using standard relations at various concentrations and temperatures in order to better understand the molecular interaction. The presence of significant ion-solute contacts was suggested by a progressive increase in ultrasonic velocity (u), density (), acoustic impedance (z), relative association (RA), and a gradual decrease in adiabatic compressibility (a) and intermolecular free length (Lf). These metrics have also been utilised to understand the hydrophilic component of the solute as well as molecular interactions in solutions.
