STUDY ON THE DEGRADATION OF CELLULOSE ACETATE FIBER FOR CIGARETTE FILTER MATERIAL, A BRIEF REVIEW...
Both natural and synthetic fibres are commonly utilised in cigarette filter materials, and cellulose acetate fibre has good physical and mechanical qualities. The qualities of the acetate fibre, on the other hand, remain stable due to the acetylation of the hydroxyl groups on the cellulose molecule chain. The environment will be polluted because cellulose acetate fibre is difficult to breakdown. More study will be done in the future to reduce the degree of substitution of acetate fibre, improve the fiber's biodegradability, and increase its efficiency as a cigarette filter material.
