Cleaners, paints, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food, medicine, and biochemical research all use surface active agents (surfactants), which are among the most versatile chemicals used in various areas and are known to play an important role in many processes of interest in fundamental and applied science. The use of surfactants has increased dramatically over time. Surfactants with various roles in sample preparation methodologies, in particular, make a significant contribution to reducing problems arising from pre-processing or primary production processes such as raw material recovery, purification, or to improve the quality of finished products such as emulsifiers, extraction mediums, solubilizing agents, and excipients in pharmacy. Surfactant micelles, in addition to these characteristics, make an appealing model system for biomembranes. The creation of viable models to give meaningful information for industrial applications has been aided by knowledge and understanding of surfactant systems. This brief review was created to provide information and general references on surfactants used in pharmacy, and it is divided into four sections: I frequently used surfactants in pharmacy and pharmaceutical applications ii) Drug interactions and micellar binding micellar solubilization (iii) micellar solubilization (iv) micellar solubilization ( iv) the use of surfactants in the delivery of drugs
