SYNTHESIS, GROWTH AND SPECTRAL STUDIES ON THIOSEMICARBAZIDE ZINC(II) PICRATE | Journal of Applied..
The solubility of thiosemicarbazide zinc(II) picrate (TSCZP) in dimethyl sulfoxide and dimethyl formamide solvents was determined. The conductivity of 0.01g of TSCZP was measured using a conductivity metre after it was dissolved in 100cc of dimethyl sulfoxide and dimethyl formamide separately. A single crystal X-ray diffraction research was used to determine the three-dimensional crystal structure of the generated crystal. The triclinic system with space group P-1 crystallises TSCZP. Fourier Transform Infrared spectrum investigations revealed the presence of the functional groups. According to UV-vis-NIR spectral research, the transmittance between 385 and 1100 nm is roughly 60%. Thermogravimetric and differential thermal analyses are used to determine the crystal's thermal stability. The load hardness parameter was measured after the microhardness test was completed.
