SYNTHESIS OF SOME CONDENSED 2-(6-iodo-4-oxoquinazolin-3(4H)-yl)acetohydrazide | Journal of.....

The synthesis of various new condensed 2-(6-iodo-4-oxoquinazolin-3(4H)-yl)acetohydrazide derivatives, such as 1,2,4-triazolyl-11, 1,3,4-oxadiazolyl-8a,b, 9, 1,3,4-thiadiazolyl-12, and pyrazolylquinazolinone derivatives 13-15, is reported using a highly efficient and adaptable synthetic method. Furthermore, acyclo C-nucleoside 17 was synthesised by reacting 2-(6-iodo-4-oxoquinazolin-3(4H)-yl)acetohydrazide (3) with D-glucono-1,5-lactone in a heterocyclization reaction. The structures of the newly synthesised compounds were validated by spectral (IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR) and elemental analysis.
