THE CONTRIBUTION OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT SERVICES TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF KIGALI CITY: A CASE STU

The goal of the study was to determine the role of public transportation in the growth of Kigali. In a nutshell, the transportation sector is critical to a country's economic growth since it drives other sectors such as agriculture, commerce and business, and all other service sectors. Transport services have been determined to produce employment, income, revenue, raise tax and infrastructure development, and improve people's wellness, according to study. The issue was that transportation services in Kigali did not provide the desired services and advantages, and the local population did not acknowledge their economic role. The particular objectives were determining the contribution of transportation services to economic growth and determining the variables that restrict that contribution as well as the solutions to the issues The Pearson correlations test reveals a strong and positive association between the study's variables. The researcher came to the conclusion that transportation is an important component of economic growth, and that numerous variables impact transportation, which in turn influences economic development. It was suggested that the RFTC bring contemporary buses for improved transportation and passenger pleasure. The RFTC should also train drivers and conductors in order to increase customer service professionalism.
