The purpose of this essay is to look into the production and manufacturing of water for injection (WFI). Water for injection is a globally traded commodity. Water for Injection is used in the manufacture of parenteral medications and other preparations where the endotoxin level of the product must be kept under control. WFI is used in pharmaceutical applications such as raw material for manufacture, cell culture, chromatography, process validation, device processing, purification buffers, DNA/RNA purification, drug or medicine preparation, cleaning of specific equipment, and parenteral product-contact components. The medical and pharmaceutical industries have a sizable market. The phases of conversion from well water to RO water are pre-filtration, additives, softeners, deionization, reverse osmosis, distillation, and filtration. The unit process and unit activities for producing water for injection are detailed. For final product, Blow Fill Seal Technology (BFS Technology) is extensively used. The method is always being researched and developed in order to optimise the process technology and its components, resulting in higher quality end products.
