TRADE AND ECONOMIC COOPERATION BETWEEN USA AND CHINA: PERFORMANCE AND PROSPECTS | Journal of Econom

The trade connection between the United States and China is critical to the two nations' economic relationship. Trade is a driving force behind economic development. The United States has the world's largest economy, whereas China has the world's second largest economy. The competition between these two countries has been transformed into a partnership via the development of trade and economic cooperation. Now, bilateral commerce between these two nations is seen as a trustworthy and pleasant tool of US-China reconciliation that will have an impact on the global economy and growth rate. However, their long-term potential as trading partners has yet to be completely explored and realised.

The terms trade reliance index, export propensity index, and trade dependence index are used in this context. The Import Penetration Index and the Normalized Trade Balance Index are used to reflect the US-China trade relationship.
